Scope

Clipora is a macOS-only menu bar app. Support covers:

  • Clipboard history capture and search
  • License activation (direct-sale perpetual license keys)
  • Subscriptions via the Mac App Store
  • Performance, crashes, and compatibility issues
  • Privacy and data deletion requests

Common Requests

  • Clipboard not capturing: items not appearing in history, certain apps not detected.
  • License & activation: activation failures, license key not accepted, device limit reached.
  • Subscriptions & billing: charge questions, upgrade/downgrade, cancellation, refund requests.
  • Performance: high CPU or memory usage, slow popover, lag on first open.
  • Crashes: app quits unexpectedly, popover fails to appear.
  • Privacy & data: export history, delete clipboard data, remove server-side license record.
  • Permissions: accessibility access, notification settings.

What to Include in Your Email

  • macOS version: e.g., macOS 15.2 Sequoia (System Settings > General > About).
  • App version: shown in Clipora's Settings > About.
  • Mac model: e.g., MacBook Pro M3 (About This Mac).
  • Issue description: steps to reproduce, when it started, any error messages or screenshots.
  • Order info: App Store order ID or license key (last 4 characters only) for billing / activation questions.

Subscriptions & Billing

Cancel auto-renewal (Mac App Store):

  • On your Mac: System Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Media & Purchases > Manage > Clipora > Cancel Subscription.
  • On iPhone/iPad: Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions > Clipora > Cancel Subscription.

Refunds: Follow Apple App Store refund policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. Include your order ID and a description of the issue.

Direct-sale license keys: Refund requests for perpetual license keys are handled case-by-case. Email us with your order reference within 14 days of purchase.

License Key Activation

  • A license key can be activated on up to 2 Macs simultaneously.
  • To transfer a license to a new Mac, deactivate it on the old Mac in Settings > License > Deactivate, then activate on the new machine.
  • If deactivation is not possible (e.g., lost or reformatted Mac), email us with your license key and we will reset the activation count within 3 business days.

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Grant accessibility access: Clipora requires Accessibility permission to detect which app is in focus (for "Ignore Apps"). Check System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and ensure Clipora is enabled.
  2. Restart the App: Quit Clipora from the menu bar icon (right-click > Quit) and reopen it.
  3. Update the App: Ensure you are running the latest version (App Store > Updates, or Settings > Check for Updates in the direct-sale build).
  4. Check "Ignore Apps" list: If an app is excluded, its clipboard content will not be captured. Review Settings > Ignored Apps.
  5. Disable VPN/proxy: Network issues can block license validation. Try disabling VPN before activating.
  6. Reinstall: Uninstall and reinstall the App. Note that uninstalling removes all local clipboard history.

If the issue persists after the above steps, email us with full reproduction steps, your macOS and app versions, and any screenshots or screen recordings.

Data & Privacy

  • Clipboard data is stored locally only and is never transmitted to any server.
  • Export history: Your clipboard history is in the App's local database. You can view and copy items directly from the App; there is no bulk export feature at this time.
  • Delete clipboard history: Open Clipora > select items > delete, or use Settings > Clear All History to wipe everything.
  • Delete server-side data (license activation records): Email [email protected] with your license key or device fingerprint. We process requests within 15 business days.
  • Permissions: Manage Accessibility and Notification permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
