Frequently Asked Questions
Why does SnapCal use the cloud if OCR is on-device?
Apple Vision recognizes visible text on your iPhone. Cloud AI then interprets the notice structure, connects related deadlines and events, and returns a schedule draft. Recognized text and, when needed, a compressed image are sent securely for this step.
Does SnapCal add events automatically?
No. You review and can edit every proposed item. SnapCal requests Calendar or Reminders access only when you choose to add items.
Why is cloud parsing unavailable?
Check your network connection and try again. Cloud parsing also requires an active anonymous session and available usage credits. Local history and previously imported notices remain available offline.
Why did SnapCal find the wrong date or time?
Open the notice details, compare the draft with the original notice, and edit uncertain fields before adding. OCR and AI may misread low-quality images, tables, implied years, or time zones.
How do I remove items SnapCal added?
Open the notice details and choose the remove action. SnapCal removes only Calendar and Reminders identifiers recorded for that import. You can also edit or delete items directly in Apple's apps.
How do I clear local data?
Open SnapCal Settings and select Clear Local Data. This removes SnapCal history and source files but leaves Calendar and Reminders items already added.
How do I delete my account?
Open SnapCal Settings, select Delete Cloud Account, and confirm both prompts. The anonymous cloud account and local SnapCal data are deleted. Existing Calendar and Reminders items remain on your iPhone.
